Britt DeVries, MBA

Britt is the founder and CEO of Data Distillery, LLC. Her team integrates high dimensional data from self-report measures, neuropsychological testing, laboratory results, and neuroimaging data for academic and industry research laboratories. She is an enthusiastic advocate for integrity and reproducibility in science and specializes in data management, visualization, and analysis.

Britt received her Bachelor of Science (BS) from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA and later pursued her Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA. She was selected to participate in the TI:GER Program and concentrated in Business Analytics. She has over a decade of experience in the research field with expertise in clinical trial, national and international, longitudinal, developmental, and mental and public health studies. Her work is published in several of the world’s top scientific journals.

When not working, Britt loves to spend time with her goofy-af dog, Maebelle, and frequently hits up local music venues.

MJ Heise, PhD

MJ is Data Distillery’s lead statistician. She has 12 years of experience in research and stimuli design, data management, data analysis, and interpreting results for both academic and non-academic audiences. She completed her B.S. at the University of Minnesota, and her M.A. and Ph.D. at the University of California, Davis in Psychology with a minor in quantitative methods. Her graduate research utilized behavioral and neural methods to examine children's developing cognition, and this research shaped her passion for measurement, mixed methods, longitudinal analyses, and missing data. She specializes in complex statistical modeling, including linear mixed effects models and latent factor models.
